Giorgos Kleitsas, Greek Champion 2007-2008, after playing as a juggernaut in Istanbul (mid-January), at an Open under the auspices of WBF, swept all of his strong opponents, marking his path to the top with a prestigious victory. Haris Christidis, twice Greek BG Championship winner, won the Last Chance flight in a strong (57 entrants) Open that took place in Frankfurt, early November. Kimon Papachristopoulos, a well-fighting worldwide BG-presence, reached the Consolation Semis, and, last but not least, Kostas Mitrelis climbed up to top-8 of Consolation. Sakis Lagopatis (Nordic Open 2006 Winner) was the fourth member of the Greek national team.
